Friday Five

Now that we are half way through 2014, these are the top five books that caused us epic book hangovers in the last 6 months.  We’re talking the hangover that had us stewing for days after.  The ones we had to wait a few days to write a review for because we were still trying to get our head around it.

Debra

1.  Twisted Together by Pepper Winters
2.  Come To Me Softly by AL Jackson
3.  The ³Burg Series by Kristen Ashley
4.  Monster in His Eyes by JM Darhower
5.  The Forgotten Girl by Jessica Sorensen

Paula

1. Raw by Belle Aurora
This book was dark and different and emotionally intense. It hooked me from the first page. What made it even better, was the lack of a typical HEA. I am still not over Twitch.
2. Still Life With Strings by L.H. Cosway
So close to real life and yet so full of beauty – poetry, art and music that still hold my heart captive.
3. Never Let Go by Nicola Haken
I was sobbing throughout the whole book. And I still can’t get over the heartbreak as well as over the happiness it caused.
4. Number Thirteen by Bella Jewel
This book messed with my mind and heart so bad. It didn’t allow thinking in black and white. Instead it created a million gray shades.
5. Overwhelmed By You by Nashoda Rose
This story destroyed me. It redefined my comfort zone. It popped my dark reads cherry. It will always be my first darker-than-the-night-sky book.

Cindy

1.  Always by Kindle Alexander
I can’t even try to tell someone the plot without choking up all over again.  This book has had an indelible impact on me.
2.  Essence of Time by Liz Crowe
A tragic and beautiful love story
3.  Breathe With Me by Kristen Proby
My reaction surprised me, but it took me days before I could re-visit the story and write my review
4.  Falling by E.K. Blair
I read this in December, but I can still work myself into a frenzy if I dwell on it too long.  Incredible story of resiliency and love.
5.  Missionary Position by Daisy Prescott
Such a smart book.  It left me with so much to think about… and I’m still thinking.

Tami

1.  The Vixen and the Vet by Katy Regnery

2.   Forever by Mary Wasowski

3.   Skipping Stones by J.B. McGee

4.   Ash to Steele by Karen-Anne Stewart

5.   A Firefighter’s Flame by Dani Hart

Kelly

1. Fragile Truths by DH Sidebottom and RM James

2. The Good Girl by Lily White and Dawn Robertson

3. Quintessentially Q by Pepper Winters

4. My Soul Keeper by Ker Dukey

5. Never Let Go by Nicola Haken

Erin

1.  Mud Vein by Tarryn Fisher
2.  Cut too Deep by KJ Bell
3.  Bang by EK Blair
4.  When the Sun Goes Down by Erin Noelle
5.  The Jackal and the Swan by JA Redmerski
